Shape and characteristics
The solar cell is the main material in the solar module, the surface of the cell has a blue antireflective film, and a silver electrode grid.
There are silver-coloured electrode grids. The two wider silver and white lines are the main grid lines, also called electrode lines or upper electrodes. The back of the cell also has a western (or interrupted) silver-white main grid line, called the lower or back electrode. The cell-to-cell connection is achieved by welding the interconnecting strip to the main grid line. Generally the front electrode is the negative line of the cell and the back electrode is the positive line of the cell. Regardless of the size of the solar cell (whole or cut into small pieces), the peak output voltage between the positive and negative electrodes of a single cell is 0.48~0.5v.
The area of the cell is proportional to the output current and power, the larger the area, the higher the output current and power.
Qualified solar cells should have the following characteristics
(1) With stable and efficient photoelectric conversion efficiency and high reliability.
(2) Using advanced diffusion technology to ensure uniformity of conversion efficiency at various locations within the sheet.
(3) Using advanced pecvd film-forming technology, the surface of the cell is coated with a dark blue silicon nitride antireflective film with uniform colour.
uniform and beautiful.
(4) High quality silver and silver aluminium metallic pastes are used for the backfield and grid electrodes, ensuring good conductivity, reliable adhesion and good solderability.
(5) High precision screen printed graphics and high flatness make the cells easy to automatically weld and laser cut.
Classification and size of solar cells
Solar cells can be classified by application into crystalline silicon solar cells for terrestrial use, crystalline silicon solar cells for maritime use and crystalline silicon solar cells for space use. The solar cells are divided into monocrystalline silicon cells and polycrystalline silicon cells according to the different materials of the substrate. At present, solar cells are commonly available in The main sizes of solar cells are 125mmX 125mm, 150mmX 150mm and 156mmX 156mm. The thickness is generally in the range of 170~220μ m.
